The JFK Assassination à à à à à This interview was conducted with my friendââ¬â¢s father on the assassination of JFK, and the impact it had on life in America. à à à à à Q: How old were you when JFK was assassinated? à à à à à A: I was only 15 at the time, but I can vividly recall it à à à à à Q: What was your very first reaction?à à à à à à à à à à A: Well, I was shocked I really couldnââ¬â¢t believe it. I mean, you hear about the Lincolnââ¬â¢s assassination but it never seemed real. Now JFK was assassinated and it seemed like it could never happen, it was just like a dream. à à à à à Q: How did your parents react? à à à à à A: They seemed more upset than sad. They couldnââ¬â¢t believe that this could happen, they were upset that such a man as JFK could be dead, just like that. He did so much to change the way people think, act, and feel in this country and heââ¬â¢d never be back. à à à à à Q: What was the general mood? à à à à à A: At the time we lived in a very tight neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Around that neighborhood you could see things change.
